Real estate and holiday accomodation photos are the first thing a potential customer sees of your property.

The standard of real estate photography in a competitive environment is very high if you’re selling real estate, renting a property or listing holiday accommodation on Airbnb.

Professional Real Estate Photos
It can be tough getting buyers’ attention these days. Having professional photos to market your property has never been more important. Photos that balance lighting, colour, angles and styling work best to showcase your property.

It’s tempting to get your camera or smart phone and start shooting or to asking a friend to do it. Also using a cheap real estate photographer is likely to fall short of your expectations.

If you don’t have the budget to hire a professional photographer and you’d like the challenge to try it yourself check out Real Estate Photography Tips For Beginners

Planning and Know How
Really great property photography takes planning, consideration, time, and more than a little know how. The more your property is worth the better the photographs need to be to market your property.

High End Real Estate
Buyers of high end real estate expect to see professional real estate photography and don’t necessarily want to see ultra wide angle images that are brightly lit.

Wide angle photos have their place in every catalogue but because you can get a whole room into the frame doesn’t make it a better picture.

Experience the Character
People want to experience the character of the house or apartment as well as the whole space. Subtle use of lighting, considered framing of spaces and on trend styling all help to elevate images to attract buyers.

Kitchens & Bathrooms
Kitchen and bathroom photography can be a special category on their own.

These spaces have become the cornerstone of modern living and showcase homes. While kitchens and bathrooms stamp a home with character, authenticity and individuality, professional photography will make sure the aesthetic in these spaces is conveyed realistically and convincingly.

Twilight Real Estate Photography
Helping properties to stand out from the crowd are twilight real estate photos.

Twilight photography makes a visual impact that separates your property from the rest. Warm interior lights and a dusk sky provide dramatic contrast. Houses can benefit from exterior twilight photos while apartments with great views also benefit from twilight photos.

Shooting Style
They are petty of styles or options when it comes to real estate photography. Popular for many years has been HDR, the automatic blending of three to five images of varying exposure. Results are generally OK but HDR is slowly falling out of favour except for low-end real estate photography.

I prefer to work capturing ambient light and using flash to light darker areas and capturing important aspects of a space in separate images then blending multiple exposures together manually. It takes a bit longer to finish the post processing but the results overall are far superior.

Equipment
I photograph using professional level Canon cameras and a variety of lenses including a tilt shift lens which is designed specifically for high end real estate photography.

Real Estate Photography Pricing
As real estate properties vary in size, price, location and many other factors, so too does the cost of real estate photography.

The type of shoot will affect the price. A standard package of daytime images for a small apartment will be less than the photography of a large high end house that might include dusk or twilight images. The time spent preparing for a shoot, the time taken to photograph a property, and the post production process varies with each property.

Having a quick discussion about your property, how many photos are needed and their usage and I’ll be able to give you a reliable price to shoot your property.
